Munoz Adoption

Story

We are the Munoz family currently seeking to adopt our first child from Colombia. 

Here is our story: 

We met in 2008 through a mutual friend. Once our eyes locked we knew it was God's plan. We dated 4 years before getting married. Vikki always knew she wanted to be a mom and forever talked about how she would love to adopt a child , in hopes to give all her love to children who otherwise wouldn't know the warmth of a family. Adiel on the other hand wasn't so sure about adoption. He always thought he would grow his famliy through biological children.

Though we differed in opinions we came to the conclusion that we would attempt to first grow our family biologically and think about adoption down the road. In 2014 we officially decided to start the process of growing our family. After six months of trying we had no results of a baby. So with concern in our hearts we kept trying. After 2 years of trying and no results we decided to see a reproductive endocrinologist (fancy name of an In vitro doctor) 10,000 dollars, a round of pills and a stomach shot later we suffered with no results, depressing despair and an empty savings account.

We decided to take a break and focus on other things and try again in a couple of months. When we did start trying again we suffered a chemical pregnancy. Again we were wrought with pain and despair. We prayed, we cried, we gave up then tried again until we decided on fostering, eventually to ease into adoption. Although we finished our parenting course requirment we were met with a hard stop during our homestudy. We had a faulty window that needed to be fixed. Although it seemed like a simple enough fix, the windows that were on our home were not being made anymore creating a problem of having to replace all the windows in our home. 

After this we decided to leave everything in God's hands. At the begining of this year we were presented with the idea to adopt a child from Colombia from a family friend who has a connection to an adoption lawyer in Colombia. So we thought about it and prayed about it deciding that it will be the best decision for us to start growing our family! 

Unfortunatley we don't have the funding right now to adopt so in full faith we have decided to ask for help to raise funds in hopes to make our dreams of parenthood a reality!
