Westborough Connects

Story

Founded in 2017, Westborough Connects is a 501(c)3 nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to promoting community strength, connection and kindness in the town of Westborough, Massachusetts. Westborough Connects was founded, in part, due to the desire of the community to come together to celebrate its diversity and define it in a positive way. It was also organized to promote connection, inclusion and conversation in order to expand awareness and empathy across differences and have meaningful and difficult conversations that are required in a connected community.

Our role in the community is to amplify people, organizations and events doing good things, while also collaborating and partnering with others to identify opportunities to strengthen what already exists, and to help fill needs or gaps. Often in partnership with others, Westborough Connects creates opportunities to support and celebrate the diversity, spirit, and character of Westborough through free programs and events that are community-based, strengths-based and dedicated to connecting people to resources and each other. 

We strive to address the needs, harness the strengths, and reflect the distinctive values of Westborough’s residents, organizations, businesses, and institutions.
