Story
Wear your support and help do some good for the family of Wyatt Wilkinson. 40% of every purchase is donated.
Wyatt is a vibrant, hardworking, loving 21-year-old son, boyfriend, brother, and uncle. He was leaving his new job on June 3rd when he was struck by a car and sustained life-threatening injuries. Wyatt was driving his motorcycle and wearing his full-face helmet with proper protective gear. Although he was wearing his helmet, he now suffers from traumatic brain injuries as well as multiple leg fractures, and internal injuries.
The diagnosis of his brain injury is called Diffuse Axonal Injury and cerebral fat embolism. He has had multiple surgeries that have reset and fixed all fractures and bleeds. On 6/10/22, a tracheostomy was placed as well as a feeding tube. He awaits being transported to a brain injury hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska to start his rehabilitation care.
Due to being in a new position his short- and long-term disability are not active. Therefore, he will not receive any benefits from his employer. Wyatt completed a year-long deployment serving in the National Guard and returned home in October 2021. Because he is off active duty, he will not receive short-term disability or health insurance from the military.
As a family, we are asking for support for his medical bills, funding for rehab, to continue paying his mortgage, and aid to assist his family in caring for Wyatt. All contributions, donations, and monetary compensations are accepted and thanked beyond measure. With your generosity, we’re hoping to ease Wyatt's financial burden. The end goal is to see him thrive again and get back home to his loved ones, 2 dogs, and chickens.
