Story
Founded in 2018, Charles Towne Percussion is a nonprofit indoor percussion ensemble dedicated to giving students high-level instruction, meaningful performance opportunities, and a place to grow through music. Our focus is simple: build confident performers, foster pride and excellence, and compete at the highest level alongside ensembles like ours.
Charles Towne Percussion performs as an indoor drumline, blending marching percussion and front ensemble into what’s often called percussion theater. It’s a powerful mix of music, movement, and performance, and it pushes students to grow not just as musicians, but as teammates and leaders. While many indoor ensembles are tied to schools, we are an independent group, bringing together passionate performers from across the region.
Each season builds toward one defining moment: traveling to Dayton. Competing in Dayton is more than a destination, it’s the culmination of months of hard work and the event that determines our national ranking. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our performers, and a milestone that shapes the future of our program.
Traveling to Dayton comes with significant costs. While member dues help cover uniforms, equipment, and initial expenses, they don’t cover everything. This fundraiser supports the remaining costs of gas and travel so our students can take the floor and represent Charles Towne Percussion on a national stage.
Our goal is $5,000, and every contribution helps move us closer. Whether large or small, your support directly impacts our ability to compete, grow, and continue offering these opportunities to our performers.
Thank you for believing in our students, our program, and the power of percussion. Together, we can take this season, and our passion, to new heights.
