Community Health Initiative, Haiti’s (CHI) goal in partnering with our dear friends at CAUSETEAM is to support our efforts to provide continuous primary healthcare through medical/surgical clinics and Community Health Workers, and to address the biological, social, and environmental causes of disease through community-directed development projects. CHI believes health is not simply the absence of disease, but the ability to fulfill human potential. To that end, we are proud of our recycling center providing employment for community members and turning trash into cash; water treatment programs; construction of 60 eco-composting latrines by our Haitian staff to supply sanitation and dignity to families; and our Community Health Workers who are literally saving lives with our Helping Babies Breathe program. Please consider shopping at One Mission for all your gift-giving needs. 40% of all sales will go directly to CHI! What is the value of your dollar you ask?!

  • $12 delivers a clean water treatment system
  • $30 provides prenatal care and education to a mom
  • $250 saves one baby through Helping Babies Breathe
  • $300 builds an eco-composting latrine
  • $1150 Provides birthing kits to moms for one year.

We are committed to working in solidarity until the work is done! We envision a day when rural Haitian communities are able to identify their most pressing problems, work together to create solutions, and have the agency to bring those solutions to fruition. With your generous support, you are helping us make this vision a reality! We are very grateful.
