Story

On September 27, 2024, our world changed forever. After weeks of Addie not feeling well, I brought her to the ER hoping for answers. Within hours, after multiple scans and tests, we heard the words no parent is ever prepared for — Addie had cancer. Soon after, we were transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where a biopsy confirmed High-Risk Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Addie was only 10 years old.

Since that day, Addie has faced more than most adults ever will — chemotherapy, immunotherapy, major surgery, stem cell transplants, radiation, and countless hospital stays. Even when treatment didn’t give us the results we hoped for, she never stopped fighting. We sought another opinion at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and after changing her treatment plan, we finally received hopeful news: her bone marrow is now clear.

Addie still has several months of treatment ahead, and our journey is far from over. Traveling back and forth to New York every month has been emotionally and financially exhausting, but we will continue doing whatever it takes to give her the best chance possible. Any support helps ease the burden of travel, lodging, meals, and time away from home so we can focus on helping Addie keep fighting.
