Story

Elijah is a 15 year old boy with a rare genetic disorder called Allan Herndon Dudley Syndrome. He was adopted in 2024 and has discovered a love for all things outdoors! There are 3 pieces of equipment that will help him move his body outside and unfortunately none of them are covered by insurance. I reached out for a quote on one piece and have not received an official cost however I feel $10,000 should cover the cost of all 3. We are trying to get Elijah the following: The Extreme Motus Chair, The Leckey Smart Pedal, and The Freedom Concepts Mantis.

There is a 4th piece by Freedom Concepts, Excursion Series ET2611, that would make a fun time for Elijah to ride a bike faster with his mom. It is a tandom bike where he straps in and mom sits behind doing all the work. He gets the exercise for his legs but the feeling you would get when riding a normal bike. I also requested the cost of this. If it is possible to raise more to get the 4th piece, it would be an amazing way to give him the best quality of life possible. We are greatful for anything towards the equipment. It is definitely not cheap but his smile will be worth it!
