The Helen G. Nassif Cancer Center Spirit Patient Assistance Fund is a fund that was established to help cancer patients and their families with additional support, when they are facing a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Financial hardship happens many times to families and this fund is set up to help ease some of the burden and to ensure they are able to get to their appointments and eat healthy. Gift cards for transportation and groceries, in the amount of up to $500.00 are provided to the patient as needed. This fund was established through donation from the community, local partners and patient families and continues to be filling needs of patients and families since 2009. Since its inception, the fund has provided over $100,000 in help to cancer patients and families.
