Radical Love was founded in 2021 and aims to UNITE a community to reflect the radical love of Jesus by loving and helping one another. We work with local refugees, senior neighbors and school children. All of our programs offer ways for kids to participate. Our English-learning program with refugee neighbors involves adults and children; we are seeing friendships begin to form and a common goal of love and belonging being realized. Our programs with senior neighbors create opportunities for multi-generational friendships (currently, a 3rd grade class is pen-paling with a group of seniors!) And our work with local schools benefits hundreds of children each month - both the students receiving snack bags, school supplies, books and Halloween costumes - and the kids working together to collect and deliver these items.
We need your help to GROW our programs. Immediate funding needs will help to provide:
(1) Busing: to help refugee neighbors who don't have a car attend our programs;
(2) Food: We want to serve lunch to our summer program attendees and also snacks to the children;
(3) Learning materials: For kids and adults coming to our English program this summer;
(4) A Community Garden: This is a tangible way to bring together neighbors of all ages and backgrounds to work together towards a common goal. It is the essence of WHAT Radical Love is and stands for, and we would love to create this space to continue uniting our community.
