As we near the end of 2026, we felt pressed by the Lord to call the Church to action: WAKE UP! and Make Every Moment Count.
Heartland Youth For Christ has been in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for 64 years. Our mission is simple: Make lifelong followers of Jesus. How do we do that? We meet 11- to 19-year-olds where they are at, love them as Jesus does, walk through this life alongside them, and communicate the hope, salvation, identity, and purpose that Jesus has for them!
From the halls of public schools, to our downtown youth center in Taylor Neighborhood, to the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center, we seriously meet them where they are.
From some knowledge of God to not even knowing that Jesus Christ was a real human who walked the earth, we meet them where they are spiritually, too.

We, as the Church, need to wake up and see them. We need to make every single moment count, because these young people need us. Even more, they need Jesus.
