Story

Just days ago, Lilly and Steven celebrated their 6 year wedding anniversary. Just a few months ago, their oldest, Eleanor started preschool. But as the world keeps spinning, Lilly continues to fend off the aggressive T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma she was diagnosed with last year.

This fall there is so much to be thankful for as Lilly’s last scan showed that she is cancer free! Yet her journey is far from over. About a month ago, Lilly started her 2-year “Maintenance Phase” of chemotherapy to ensure she stays cancer free for as long as possible. The doctors promised Lilly that she was have a higher quality of life during this phase, but that new quality of life has yet to become a reality. For now, the doctors continue to tweak her chemotherapy drugs and doses.

Lilly attempts to keep the various chemotherapy symptoms at bay, her body waits for the opportunity to begin healing itself from the previous intense chemotherapy phases. Meanwhile, her mental strength shines. She has stayed true to herself, patient, kind, and quick to humor. On top of it all, Lilly never fails to find a way to be present for family moments, both big and small.
