Fundraising length: 30, 60 or 90 days?

Fundraising length: 30, 60 or 90 days?

Deciding how long to promote your CausePage campign may be a headscratcher at first…but, you’re not the only one to ask:

‘How do people decide between the 30, 60, and 90 days for the campaign time?

'Which do you recommend?'

'Is there a benefit to doing one length over another?’

The quick answer, most people do 90 days – we can always extend it if needed, if fundraising is going well and you want to keep going.

When it comes to a specific fundraiser type like adoption, we suggest fundraising in ‘chunks.’ For example, rather than putting $40,000 as your goal, figure out the first lump sum you will owe (maybe for home study, first fees, etc.) and then work towards that goal.

Once that is met, it’s then a great talking point to thank people for helping this first round… and NOW we’re raising ‘this much more’ for the next payment due, etc.

Also, a custom t-shirt is a huge benefit with these types of CausePages – it allows your family and friends to ‘wear’ their support and get something in return for their donation. (If you're looking for design inspo, check out our design library!)

You’d get 40% back of all product purchases (both your custom shirt AND any CAUSETEAM branded merch) – Crowdfunding is also available, you get all of that, of course – minus the standard credit card processing fee.  There are upfront fees with custom t-shirt designs, but if you have a supportive network, those costs are recovered very quickly soon after launching!
