Welcome to Team Celia Christine JDRF fundraising page!

Celia has diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on 8/31/09 at age 9. We have had a Walk Team since 2010 and consider Eastern IA JDRF as part our T1D family. We have seen advances in technology funded by JDRF & belive in their mission to end Type 1.

JDRF One Walk has a single goal: to create a world WITHOUT type 1 diabetes (T1D).

T1D is an autoimmune disease which the pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin - a hormone essential to turning blood into energy.

It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing & lifelong dependence on insulin. With T1D there are NO days off, and there is no cure. Please go to my Personal Page to read my story.
